Standard Instructions (Stages for a Standard Back Kick for Glute Maximus Exercise)
1. Preparation
Loading: Insert the steel pin into the appropriate weight plate hole according to your ability.
Adjusting the Machine: Adjust the knee/leg pad to approximately the height of your standing calf. Adjust the height of the body support pad so that you can comfortably lean forward, resting your chest and abdomen completely on the pad.
2. Starting Position
Stand facing the machine. Place the knee or calf (depending on the machine design) of the side you intend to train first firmly on the knee/leg pad.
Lean forward, resting your chest and abdomen completely on the body support pad, with your hands naturally grasping the front handles.
Stand firmly on your supporting leg (the one you are not training).
3. Execution
Concentric Phase (Back Kick):
Keep your core tight and your body stable.
Use your hips to drive your supporting leg back and slightly upward.
Repeat until your leg is fully extended and you feel a complete contraction in your gluteus maximus. At the top, intentionally squeeze your glutes for 1-2 seconds.
Eccentric Phase (Recovery):
Controlledly and slowly, resisting the weight, lower your leg back to the starting position.
Be careful not to completely release; let the weight plate fall to the bottom, maintaining tension in the muscles.
After completing all repetitions on one side, switch to the other leg.
